New Transport Services in Milwaukee and Trichy

Milwaukee County is launching a new on-demand taxi program for persons with disabilities, providing wheelchair-accessible vehicles for unplanned trips starting August 27, with fares beginning at $10 per one-way trip while the county covers the additional cost. The service, operated by VIA, is expected to complement the existing TransitPlus van program and will be available daily between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Separately, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has introduced new bus services connecting Trichy International Airport with key city hubs, including a night service for late-night travelers. These buses, which start from the airport's arrival lounge, aim to facilitate convenient travel for passengers and airport workers. The schedules have been coordinated with flight timings, and adjustments may be made based on demand.
