Ilana Glazer's Stand-Up Special Debuts on Hulu

Hulu has announced the premiere of Ilana Glazer's new stand-up special, Human Magic, set for December 20, 2024, with an international release on Disney+. This special, Glazer's second following her 2020 release, The Planet Is Burning, was filmed in Toronto and follows her extensive tour across North America. It is part of Hulu's new stand-up comedy initiative, Hularious, launching in November with Jim Gaffigan and featuring other notable comedians like Bill Burr and Roy Wood Jr. Hulu aims to differentiate its comedy offerings from Netflix by adopting a 'quality over quantity' strategy, planning only 12 specials annually. The streaming service is also launching a curated collection of stand-up specials, reflecting a growing trend in the entertainment industry as streaming platforms compete for comedians. Glazer is currently riding high on the success of her film Babes, further establishing her prominence in the comedy scene.
