24-Year-Old Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash

A two-vehicle crash on August 30, 2024, in Denham Springs, Louisiana, resulted in the death of 24-year-old Curtis Cobbs and left his passenger in critical condition. Cobbs was driving a 2012 Honda Civic north on LA 16 when, for reasons under investigation, he crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2012 Ford F-150. Both Cobbs and his passenger were properly restrained and transported to a local hospital, where Cobbs was pronounced dead. The crash's severity also led to the passenger sustaining severe injuries. The driver of the Ford was uninjured. Toxicology samples have been collected as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
