Tripura Flood Relief Efforts Continue Amid Death Toll Rise

In response to the devastating floods in Tripura, Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh have donated a total of Rs 30 crore for relief efforts. Alongside these contributions, various local organizations and individuals have also stepped forward to aid the victims. The Tripura government has requested the central government to send an Inter-Ministerial Central Team for an assessment of the flood damage, as the situation begins to improve with the number of people in relief camps decreasing. Currently, 471 relief camps are operational, housing over 70,000 people, while the death toll has tragically risen to 28. State and national disaster response teams are actively involved in relief operations, providing essential aid to those affected. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for potential heavy rainfall in the area, which remains a concern for ongoing recovery efforts.
