Indiana Jones Game Coming to PS5 Next Spring
Microsoft and Bethesda announced that their upcoming game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will launch on Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC on December 9, 2024, while PlayStation 5 players will have to wait until spring 2025. This decision comes as part of Microsoft's strategy to expand its game offerings, with CEO Phil Spencer previously indicating that some Xbox-exclusive titles would be made available on other platforms. The game, set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, features a first-person single-player experience where players will navigate various global locations, including the Vatican and Egypt. Pre-orders for the game are currently live, offering exclusive benefits such as additional in-game content. Despite initial confusion over its exclusivity, Spencer clarified that Indiana Jones was not among the first four games transitioning to other consoles, emphasizing the company's careful approach to maintaining Xbox's competitive edge. The announcement has sparked discussions about potential future releases of other major titles on rival platforms.
