Four adults were fatally shot while sleeping on a CTA Blue Line train in Forest Park, a suburb of Chicago, early on Labor Day. The victims were found in two different train cars, with three pronounced dead at the scene and the fourth dying at a hospital. The suspect, armed with a gun, was apprehended on a different CTA Pink Line train about an hour-and-a-half later, following a review of surveillance footage. Forest Park Mayor Rory Hoskins stated that charges are expected to be filed soon and highlighted the increased security issues and police calls at the station.
