Ryan ten Doeschate

Ryan ten Doeschate has joined Team India as an assistant coach under newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir ahead of the T20I series against Sri Lanka. Ten Doeschate, along with fellow assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, was part of Gambhir's coaching staff during their successful tenure at Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. His arrival on July 25 comes just two days before the first T20I match scheduled for July 27. The coaching staff is notably different, as Gambhir has opted for two assistant coaches for the first time in India's cricket setup, reflecting a more collaborative approach. Additionally, former South African pacer Morne Morkel is being considered for the bowling coach position, while T Dilip continues as the fielding coach.
