Democrats Outpace Republicans in Recent Fundraising
Democratic candidates and committees have significantly outraised their Republican counterparts in various states and at the federal level in recent reporting periods. In Montana, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ryan Busse outraised incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte from mid-June to mid-August, although Gianforte still holds more cash on hand. Similarly, state Democratic parties in Arizona, Wisconsin, and Minnesota have dramatically outpaced Republican fundraising efforts, with Democrats in Minnesota raising nearly ten times more than Republicans in July. House Democrats also surpassed Republicans in fundraising, bringing in $17.6 million in July, bolstering their year-to-date total to a record $107.1 million. At the national level, Democratic committees raised $63.3 million in July, overtaking the Republican committees' $59.6 million. Despite these gains, Republicans in Florida demonstrated strong voter turnout and significant fundraising achievements, indicating competitive races ahead.
