The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is urgently seeking assistance in identifying the parents of a 12 to 15-month-old boy found abandoned on July 31, 2024, near Chef Menteur Highway and Wilson Drive. Despite multiple efforts to locate the child's family, no parents or guardians have come forward. The NOPD is asking anyone with information regarding the child's identity or his family to contact the Special Victims Division Child Abuse Unit at 504-658-5267 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. The police have attached a picture of the infant to aid in identification. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
