Inquest Opens After Nicholas Glass Found Dead

An inquest has opened into the death of 33-year-old Nicholas Glass, who died from blunt force trauma inflicted by dog bites after being attacked by up to four dogs, including two XL Bullies, in Birmingham. His body was discovered in the garden of a relative's home on August 21. West Midlands Police confirmed that the two XL Bullies did not have a certificate of exemption. The inquest, held at Birmingham and Solihull Coroner's Court, will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and has been adjourned until January 13, 2025, to gather further evidence. Coroner James Bennett expressed condolences to Mr. Glass's family, who described him as a loving son, brother, and uncle, deeply missed by all.
