US Heatwave Brings Record Temperatures and Alerts

The Treasure Valley is also under an excessive heat warning, with temperatures peaking between 105-109 degrees. Billings and surrounding regions are facing extreme heat with the potential for wildfire smoke. Las Vegas has already broken records with temperatures hitting 119 degrees and could see more records fall in the coming days, while the Central Plains and South Texas are preparing for the heat dome to move in next week, bringing triple-digit temperatures and Saharan dust.
