Two Officers Injured in Newry Police Car Ramming Incident

A 37-year-old man was charged after a police vehicle was rammed in Newry, injuring two officers. The driver reversed at speed and collided with the police vehicle a number of times, causing damage to the vehicle. The officers approached the man in the Castlekeele Estate area of the city before the incident unfolded. The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, and using a motor vehicle without insurance. The police inspector has appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
