Vikings WR Addison Charged With DUI, Faces Suspension

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been charged with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence (DUI) and with a blood alcohol content above California's legal limit of 0.08%, stemming from an incident on July 12 where he was found asleep at the wheel near Los Angeles International Airport. Addison faces potential penalties including up to six months in jail, $2,000 in fines, and a six-month license suspension. He is also likely to face a three-game suspension from the NFL based on its substance abuse policy. The 22-year-old has a court date set for October 7 to enter his plea. This incident follows a previous speeding citation in 2023 where Addison was caught driving 140 mph in Minnesota. Despite these legal issues, Addison had a promising rookie season with 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
