Stephenson's Homers Lead Reds Past Giants 6-4
Tyler Stephenson hit two home runs and drove in four RBIs, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Hunter Greene extended his scoreless streak to 21 innings, tying a team record set in 1938, and struck out 11 batters, lowering his ERA to 2.83. The Reds' offensive burst came a day after being no-hit by Blake Snell. Matt Chapman hit a three-run homer, his third consecutive game with a home run, but the Giants couldn't overcome Stephenson's performance. Chapman has been batting .311 with five homers and 15 runs over 17 games since the All-Star break. Alexis Díaz earned his 22nd save despite giving up a home run to Chapman.
