Rain Delays Start of Pakistan-Bangladesh Second Test

The opening day of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi was called off due to persistent rain, preventing even the toss from taking place. Umpires inspected the ground around noon and decided to abandon the day's play due to a wet outfield, with more rain forecasted. Pakistan is under pressure to win this match to avoid their first-ever series defeat to Bangladesh, following a 10-wicket loss in the first Test. In response to their previous loss, Pakistan included leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed in their squad, dropping speedster Shaheen Afridi. The teams had remained in their hotels due to the bleak weather, which also disrupted practice sessions earlier in the week. The match was relocated from Karachi to Rawalpindi due to ongoing construction at the National Stadium.
