Wildfires Spread Across Multiple U.S. Regions

Wildfires are affecting multiple regions across the United States. In Tennessee, the Flint Gap Fire in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has burned 10 acres and led to closures of trails and campsites, with ongoing aerial and ground support. In Sonoma County, California, the Gulch Fire near Lakeville has prompted a full wildland dispatch from Cal Fire, but no evacuations have been ordered yet. Meanwhile, a grass fire in Potts Camp, Mississippi, has grown to 175 acres, causing traffic delays on Interstate 22. In Texas, the North Art Complex Fire in Mason County, sparked by lightning, has burned 3,000 acres and is 95% contained, with no structures lost. Overall, Central Texas has seen 4,906 acres burned in 2024 from 13 different fires.
