Tiger from Sariska Reserves Crosses into Haryana
A three-year-old male tiger, identified as ST-2303, has strayed from the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan into the Jhabua forest in Rewari, Haryana, marking its second migration this year. The tiger has been spotted through camera traps and its pugmarks have been found, although locating the animal has proven challenging due to dense vegetation and difficult terrain. Forest officials have issued alerts to nearby villagers, advising them to stay away from the forest to prevent potential conflicts, as the tiger previously injured five villagers in Rajasthan. Multiple teams are actively monitoring the situation and patrolling the area to ensure safety. This wandering behavior may be driven by the tiger's search for new territory and prey, as it traversed approximately 125 kilometers along the Sahibi river to reach its current location. Authorities remain hopeful that the tiger will return to its original habitat without further incidents.
