Ex-RPSC Member Arrested in Exam Leak Scandal

Former Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Ramu Ram Raika was arrested for allegedly leaking the 2021 sub-inspector recruitment exam paper to his children, Shobha and Devesh, who secured top ranks. The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan police also arrested three other trainee sub-inspectors involved. The investigation uncovered that Raika had obtained the exam paper before the test and shared it with his children, who failed to replicate their high scores in a retest. This incident has intensified scrutiny on the RPSC, especially following a similar scandal involving another RPSC member, B L Katara, in 2023. So far, the SOG has arrested around 63 individuals connected to the case and is actively probing further suspects.
