Seven Dead in Bayesian Yacht Sinking
Italian rescuers have recovered the final body from the wreck of the Bayesian superyacht, which sank off the coast of Sicily on August 19 due to a violent storm believed to have included a waterspout. The last body, presumed to be 18-year-old Hannah Lynch, daughter of British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, was found after a challenging five-day search. The tragedy claimed the lives of seven people, including Mike Lynch, Morgan Stanley executive Jonathan Bloomer and his wife, and prominent lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife. The yacht, anchored off Porticello, sank quickly despite being deemed 'unsinkable' by its manufacturer. A criminal investigation has been opened to determine how the vessel could have gone down so close to shore. The Lynch family, among the 15 survivors, has expressed their devastation and requested privacy during this time of grief.
