Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Surrey Stabbing
A 38-year-old man, Richard Flower, has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. Police responded to reports of the stabbing on Kenyngton Drive around 6:00 BST, where they found a woman in her 30s suffering from serious injuries; she is currently in stable condition at a hospital. Flower has been remanded in custody after appearing at Guildford Magistrates Court. In a separate incident, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two teenagers were stabbed in Sheffield, both of whom sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are treating the Sheffield case as isolated and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding it. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns about knife crime in the UK.
