Man Arrested for Suspected Murder After Remains Found

Michael Royce Sparks, 62, has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of his neighbors, Stephanie and Daniel Menard, at the Olive Dell Ranch nudist resort in California. The couple, aged 73 and 79 respectively, were reported missing on Sunday, with their unlocked vehicle, cell phones, and purse found nearby. During a search of Sparks' home, police discovered human remains in a concrete bunker underneath the house. Sparks was found hiding beneath his home and surrendered after negotiations, though he initially attempted to shoot himself. Police have yet to confirm the identities of the remains, and cadaver dogs are being used to search the property further. Sparks is currently held without bail and has not cooperated with authorities since his arrest.
