The first babies of 2024 were born across several hospitals in the United States. In Milwaukee, Aurora Sinai Medical Center welcomed a baby at 12:07 am, and Aurora West Allis Medical Center saw a birth at 1:47 a.m. In Detroit and Pontiac, babies were born 14 and 34 seconds after midnight. Baby Jaylee Dewitt was born at 12:28 a.m. at Community Hospital in Mesa County, Colorado, and Caleb was born at 12:52 a.m. at Bellevue's Overlake Medical Center. A girl was born at 2:06 a.m. at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Ohio. The list expanded with Maple Samuels born at 10:58 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Eureka, California, Zayden Wesley arriving at 5:22 p.m. at Aurora Medical Center in Summit, Wisconsin, Scarlette Manganti born at 2:12 a.m. at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, baby Dillon born at 12:20 a.m. at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, and Jenny born just before 11 a.m. at Norman Regional, Oklahoma.
