Flipkart Opens Two Fulfillment Centers in Uttar Pradesh

Flipkart has inaugurated two new Fulfillment Centers (FCs) in Uttar Pradesh, including a Grocery FC in Varanasi and a sortation center in Unnao, covering over 5 lakh sq. ft of storage space. This expansion is expected to significantly enhance operational efficiency, reduce delivery times, and create more than 3,600 direct and indirect job opportunities in the region. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Flipkart's investment reflects the state's growing status as an industrial and entrepreneurial hub, benefiting local MSMEs and providing a wider market reach. The new facilities will offer a diverse range of products and are part of Flipkart's broader strategy to support local communities and foster digital transformation. Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flipkart, emphasized the potential for entrepreneurial growth in the state, aligning with its goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2027. This development is anticipated to bolster Uttar Pradesh's e-commerce infrastructure and attract further investments.
