The resort, which features over 300 rooms and extensive amenities, was sold by the Lewis Trust Group, who had owned it since 2003. Following a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2022, Ellison plans to further enhance the property while retaining the current management team. This purchase adds to Ellison's extensive real estate portfolio, which includes luxury properties in California and Hawaii. Ellison's net worth is currently estimated at approximately $166 billion, making him the fifth richest person globally.
