KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty successfully raised ₹1.93 crore through their charity auction 'Cricket for a Cause,' aimed at supporting the education of hearing-impaired and intellectually disabled children via the Vipla Foundation. The auction featured memorabilia from several cricket legends, with Virat Kohli's signed jersey fetching the highest price of ₹40 lakh, followed by his gloves at ₹28 lakh. Rohit Sharma's bat was sold for ₹24 lakh, while MS Dhoni's bat garnered ₹13 lakh. Other notable items included Rahul Dravid's bat and KL Rahul's jersey, both sold for ₹11 lakh each. The auction was praised for its participation from both Indian and international cricketers, showcasing their commitment to philanthropy. Rahul is currently preparing for the Duleep Trophy, where he will compete as a specialist batsman.
