Australians Prioritize Health Care and Economy
A recent survey conducted by the Melbourne Institute-Roy Morgan reveals that while health services, economic stability, housing affordability, and open government remain top issues for Australians, there has been a shift in public concern since 2022. Health services dropped from 77.5% to 69.4% in perceived importance, while economic stability and housing affordability increased in significance. Simultaneously, concerns about climate change and elderly support have diminished. In another context, Ghana's National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to prevent election rigging ahead of the December 2024 elections, responding to comments from the ruling party's officials. Moreover, a Newspoll indicates that Australian voters anticipate a parliamentary stalemate in the next election, with 57% predicting a minority government, reflecting declining support for both major parties. Voter satisfaction for Prime Minister Albanese and opposition leader Dutton remains low, with only 22% and 21% believing their parties can achieve a majority government respectively.
