Google Enhances Gmail with New AI Features

Google has introduced new AI-powered features for Gmail, enhancing its 'Help me write' functionality with a 'Polish' option that refines rough email drafts into polished versions. These updates, available on web and mobile platforms, also include shortcuts for 'Help me write' and 'Refine my draft,' which appear in the body of email drafts. The 'Polish' feature, among other options like Formalize, Elaborate, and Shorten, is accessible to Google Workspace, Google One AI Premium, and Education Premium subscribers. These features are enabled by default, making it easier for users to draft emails efficiently. Additionally, Google has rolled out the 'Summarize This Email' feature for the Gmail app on both Android and iOS as part of its ongoing efforts to integrate AI across their services.
