Rocky Flintoff Scores Century in Second Test
Rocky Flintoff, the 16-year-old son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, scored a century for the England Under-19s in their second Test against Sri Lanka. Resuming on 82 overnight, he reached 106 off 176 balls, hitting nine boundaries and two sixes. His performance contributed to England's total of 477, giving them a commanding first-innings lead. Rocky has been in impressive form this summer, recently signing his first professional contract with Lancashire and breaking his father's record as Lancashire's youngest centurion. His father Andrew was a key figure in England's 2005 Ashes victory and has since become a television presenter and coach. The match also featured other notable young talents, including Archie Vaughan, son of former England captain Michael Vaughan.
