Man United Signs Defender Anna Sandberg for Record Fee

Manchester United Women have signed 21-year-old Swedish defender Anna Sandberg from BK Hacken for a record fee. Sandberg joins on a three-year contract with an option for an additional year and brings extensive Champions League and international experience, having been part of the Sweden squad that finished third in the 2023 Women's World Cup. Manager Marc Skinner praised her talents and looks forward to her development at the club. Sandberg is United's fourth summer signing, following Dominique Janssen, Melvine Malard, and Elisabeth Terland. The club aims to improve on last season's fifth-place WSL finish and will start the new season against West Ham United. Due to renovations, the women's team will train in temporary facilities for the 2023/24 season.
