Delhi Premier League

The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) is set to begin later this month, featuring prominent players Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini, and Harshit Rana, according to Rohan Jaitley, president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). This T20 tournament will take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium and includes both men's and women's matches, with 40 games scheduled in total—33 for men and 7 for women. The recent franchise auction resulted in the sale of six men's teams for Rs 49.65 crore. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, the league's brand ambassador, expressed enthusiasm for the opportunities the league presents to players lacking exposure in major tournaments. The league includes a draft of 270 players, spanning national, U-23, and U-19 categories. Matches will be broadcast on Sports 18 and live-streamed on JioCinema.
