Russian Missile Strikes Hotel in Kramatorsk
Ryan Evans, a 38-year-old British safety advisor, was killed when a Russian missile struck the Hotel Sapphire in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, where he was staying with a Reuters crew. The attack, attributed to an Iskander-M ballistic missile, also injured two other members of the team, leaving them with various injuries. Local officials reported significant destruction at the hotel, with debris being cleared by excavators. In addition to the hotel strike, the Kharkiv region witnessed further Russian attacks, resulting in multiple civilian injuries, including children. Concurrently, in Russia's Belgorod region, five people died due to Ukrainian shelling, with additional casualties reported from a drone attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed injuries to journalists of various nationalities in the Kramatorsk attack.
