Neighbor Arrested for Murder of Missing California Couple

In Redlands, California, police have arrested 62-year-old Michael Royce Sparks, a neighbor, on suspicion of murdering elderly couple Daniel Menard, 79, and his wife Stephanie, 73, who were reported missing from a nudist community. Investigators believe the couple is deceased and that their bodies may be located on Sparks' property, where a cadaver dog indicated the presence of remains. The couple went missing after being last seen on Saturday; their unlocked vehicle and personal items were found nearby. Sparks was located hiding under his home and surrendered after lengthy negotiations with police. He is currently ineligible for bail and scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday. Authorities are still searching for the couple's missing dog, Cuddles, a Shih Tzu.
