Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Criticizes UP Order on Eateries

Prominent Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has strongly condemned the directive in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand mandating eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route to display their owners' names, likening it to discrimination faced by the Dalit community. Jamiat's president, Maulana Mahmood Madani, criticized the decision as unjust, discriminatory, and prejudiced, warning of far-reaching implications that could lead to economic boycotts of Muslims and exploitation by anti-national elements. He emphasized the need to withdraw the order immediately to preserve national harmony and unity among communities rooted in the teachings of prominent figures like Buddha, Chishti, Nanak, and Gandhi.
