She criticized the Assam Women's Commission for its inaction and called for accountability from the government, particularly in light of the alarming statistics on women's safety over the past decade. Sharma emphasized a need for a detailed report on registered cases, arrests, and conviction rates, and condemned the perceived lack of effective measures to combat these crimes. The party's criticism extends to the Chief Minister's dual role as Home Minister, questioning the law and order situation under his leadership. APCC members have urged the media and public to hold the government accountable for ensuring a safe environment for women in Assam.
