Facundo Pellistri in Talks to Join Panathinaikos

Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is on the verge of a permanent transfer to Greek side Panathinaikos, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage. The 22-year-old, who has made only 25 appearances for United since joining in 2020, has struggled to secure a regular spot in the squad, leading to his limited playtime and multiple loan spells. United, eager to sell rather than loan him out again, is looking for a fee around €10 million. Pellistri's contract includes an option for an additional year, but with a crowded attacking roster at United, his future appears bleak. Other clubs, including Bologna and Real Valladolid, have also shown interest in the winger, but Panathinaikos seems to be the frontrunner for his signature. A move to Panathinaikos would reunite him with fellow Uruguayan Diego Alonso, the newly appointed head coach of the Greek team.
