Air India has initiated a direct flight service from Vijayawada to Bengaluru, enhancing air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh. The new daily flights, which commenced on September 1, will utilize Boeing-737 aircraft to accommodate 176 passengers, marking the fourth service introduction to Vijayawada since the Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu took office. Concurrently, Air India Express has expanded its domestic network by adding Agartala as its 46th destination, launching daily flights to Guwahati and Kolkata, alongside new routes from Hyderabad to Guwahati, Bengaluru to Vijayawada, and Bengaluru to Indore. These developments reflect a strategic effort to strengthen air travel options across India. With a total of 14 weekly flights from Agartala, travelers can connect to several major cities. The expansion showcases both Air India and Air India Express's commitment to improving domestic air travel services.
