Washington and Michigan to Face Off in CFP Finals
Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington Huskies are heading to the College Football Playoff championship game. In the Sugar Bowl semifinal on Monday night, Penix Jr. was nearly flawless, completing 29 of 38 passes for 430 yards and two touchdowns in Washington's 37-31 victory over Texas. With the win, the Huskies became the third team in college football history to finish the regular season undefeated and advance to the title game. It's the first time Washington has played in a national championship game. Penix, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting, will go up against the nation's top-ranked defense in Michigan in the title game on January 8th in Houston.
