Doctors Strike Over Safety Concerns in India

Hospital management has responded by doubling the number of doctors on emergency duty to cope with the surge in patients. Similar protests are occurring across India, with doctors demanding better security measures and working conditions in response to the violent incident. In Punjab, OPD services remain closed at various hospitals, with officials assuring that security measures will be implemented soon, but protests continue due to dissatisfaction with the current arrangements. The Supreme Court has also taken notice of the situation, calling for enhanced safety for medical professionals, especially women.
