Joakim Haeggman Wins HSBC India Legends Championship

Joakim Haeggman claimed victory at the inaugural HSBC India Legends Championship, finishing the tournament with a score of 207 (-9) after an even-par final round of 72. The 55-year-old Swede's win marked his second title on the Legends Tour, ahead of England’s Andrew Marshall, who finished second at 209 (-7), and a tie for third between Indian Jeev Milkha Singh and Germany's Thomas Gogele at 212 (-4). Haeggman expressed his delight after the win, highlighting his strong driving and composure despite the heat. Singh, the tournament host, praised Haeggman’s performance and reflected positively on the event's success. Indian golfers Jyoti Randhawa and Mukesh Kumar also showcased commendable performances, finishing tied for ninth and fifteenth, respectively. The tournament, co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India, featured a $500,000 prize pool.
