Valente wins omnium

Jennifer Valente of the United States successfully defended her women's omnium title at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing with a total of 144 points, 13 points ahead of Poland's Daria Pikulik, who claimed silver. New Zealand's Ally Wollaston secured the bronze medal with 125 points after gaining significant ground in the final sprint. Valente's victory marks her second consecutive Olympic gold in this event, following her win in Tokyo 2020.
