Summer McIntosh Wins Gold, Silver at Paris Olympics

Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh, at just 17 years old, claimed her first Olympic gold in the 400-meter individual medley at the Paris 2024 Games with a time of 4:27.71, dominating the field by nearly six seconds. McIntosh's victory marks the largest margin in the Olympic women's 400 IM final since 1984 and follows her silver medal in the 400-meter freestyle. The Canadian phenom's performance, which included a significant lead in the breaststroke leg, left American Katie Grimes and Emma Weyant to take silver and bronze, respectively.
