Tropics heating up again
As August begins, the tropics are heating up with the potential formation of a new tropical system in the Central Atlantic, currently monitored by the National Hurricane Center. This system is characterized as broad and weak, but it could strengthen as it approaches the Florida coast, with a 50-60% chance of development over the next week. Depending on how quickly it develops, the storm may track either along the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic coast of Florida. Meanwhile, a heat advisory is in effect across much of the Delaware Valley, with temperatures expected to reach the 90s, compounded by high humidity. The upcoming weekend may bring some thunderstorms, providing temporary relief from the heat. Uncertainties remain high regarding the system's development and path, necessitating close monitoring.
