Claire Lomas, Charity Advocate, Dies in Jordan
Claire Lomas, a paralysed mother-of-two who made history by completing the London Marathon in 2012 using a bionic suit, has died at the age of 44 following an accident in Jordan. Lomas, who sustained severe injuries in a 2007 horse-riding accident, was a motivational speaker and raised nearly £1 million for spinal injury research. She was awarded an MBE in 2017 for her charitable services and was known for her incredible positivity and determination. Her family has requested privacy to grieve.
