Gulab Chand Kataria

Haribhau Kisanrao Bagade has been appointed as the new Governor of Rajasthan, with a ceremonial welcome in Jaipur attended by top officials including Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Concurrently, BJP veteran Gulab Chand Kataria was sworn in as the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, replacing Banwarilal Purohit, who resigned earlier this year. Kataria's swearing-in ceremony was also attended by several dignitaries, highlighting his extensive political background. The appointments come as part of a broader reshuffle, with new governors being assigned to nine states, including significant roles in Assam and Manipur, amidst ongoing political developments.
