Local vaccine manufacturers, such as Biovac in South Africa, are preparing to produce mpox vaccines, yet they face challenges related to market stability and production sustainability. Overall, there is an urgent need for improved healthcare infrastructure and international support to combat the mpox crisis effectively. The WHO's emergency licenses for vaccine distribution are expected within two weeks to facilitate rapid deployment.
