Sharon Van Rouwendaal won the 10km open water title event for the second time on Saturday at the Doha World Swimming Championships, with a time of 1 hour 57 minutes and 26 seconds. She edged Spain’s Maria de Valdes by one tenth of a second, with 13 qualifying spots at this summer’s Paris Olympic Games. Van Rouwendaal's victory marks her second world title and her second win in the 10km open water event.
