Himachal Pradesh Signs MoU for Youth Overseas Jobs

The Himachal Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai-based EFS Facilities Services Group Limited to facilitate overseas job placements for the state's youth. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the initiative's importance in expanding global employment opportunities, particularly in sectors such as hospitality, technical services, and housekeeping. During the signing ceremony, appointment letters were presented to five candidates who will work on the NEOM city project in Saudi Arabia, with their visa processes already underway. EFS aims to recruit up to 1,000 candidates annually from Himachal Pradesh, ensuring no recruitment fees to prevent exploitation. Additionally, the Labour and Employment Department will implement a tracking mechanism to ensure the well-being of employees abroad, linked to the Mukhya Mantri Sewa Sankalp Helpline. The government is also exploring further overseas employment opportunities through collaboration with the Indian Consul General's office in Dubai.
