Costner Delays Horizon Chapter 2 Release to TBD

Kevin Costner's ambitious Western project, 'Horizon: An American Saga,' has faced significant setbacks after the first installment's disappointing box office performance. Despite a $100 million budget, with $38 million of Costner's personal investment, 'Horizon: Chapter 1' grossed only $25 million since its June 28 release. Critics have largely panned the film, describing it as tedious and disjointed. As a result, New Line Cinema and Territory Pictures have postponed the release of 'Chapter 2,' initially set for August 16, to allow more time for audiences to discover the first film through Premium VOD and streaming on Max. The release date for the second part remains undecided as Costner continues production on subsequent installments.
