Groenewegen Wins Stage 6 of Tour de France
Dutch sprinter Dylan Groenewegen claimed victory in Stage 6 of the Tour de France after a thrilling bunch sprint finish in Dijon, narrowly edging out Belgian Jasper Philipsen, who was later relegated for deviating from his line. Eritrean rider Biniam Girmay, who holds the green jersey, was promoted to second place following Philipsen's disqualification. Tadej Pogacar retained the yellow jersey, maintaining a 45-second lead over Remco Evenepoel, while defending champion Jonas Vingegaard is third. Mark Cavendish, who recently set a record with his 35th career stage win, finished 20th after being blocked out in the final sprint. The upcoming Stage 7, an individual time trial, is expected to shake up the overall standings.
