Severe Rainfall Causes Multiple Deaths in Jaipur
Severe rainfall in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has led to multiple tragedies, including the drowning of three individuals in a basement due to flooding, and the death of a 12-year-old boy in an overflowing drain. The victims in the basement incident were identified as Kamal Shah, Pooja Saini, and her niece Purvi Saini. The city faces widespread waterlogging, leading to traffic disruptions and the closure of schools and offices. In response, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed financial assistance for the affected families and initiated a review of the flooding situation. Meanwhile, Pakistan has also experienced extreme weather, with torrential rains and flash floods in July causing 99 deaths and significant infrastructural damage across various provinces.
